3 Days till Christmas!

Dear Daughters of Vision,

3 days till Christmas! Kelly and I were discussing tonight how fast this time is going by. Girls, redeem the time and do what really matters!

The Lord has really shown me that the greatest gift we can give each other is our time! Just tonight, Kelly, Elizabeth and I had an evening together while our parents were out. We lit a candle in the family room where our Christmas tree is all aglow and enjoyed being together as we ate some Chinese food! This lead into two very intense rounds of Go Fish! :-)
We just enjoyed being in one another's company without distractions.

In this day and age that we live in, there are so many distractions out there, waiting to take our time and attention! Late last week, we went to a friends house for some Christmas fellowship and during the evening, our little friend told Kelly and I , "Girls, thank you so much for just listening to me and not text messaging constantly while we're together, like my cousins do."

Girls, it's time to get our eyes off of ourselves and on to others. Off of our selfish wants and desires. We have families, siblings, neighbors, relatives and an ever watching world that needs us. They need our whole-hearted time and attention!

This Christmas, can we make a deliberate decision to give others the gift of our time? If you are struggling with relationships, this is a great way to start down the road to healing!

Also, this time of the year is not about things and material items and what we can get. It's not about the decorations and the lights and it's not even all about that wonderful Christmas dinner that we all are looking forward to. No! This special season is about One Thing...JESUS!

Are we sharing Jesus with others by the way we talk and act while we are out? Are we being sensitive to the Holy Spirit when He prompts us to say something to a store clerk? (Have you noticed how friendly and open everyone is this time of the year?) It's amazing! Take advantage of these opportunities!
Are we asking the Lord to open our eyes to needs that are out there, that He wants to use us to meet? Is there someone that God has placed on your heart to bless and you have not been obedient to His still small voice?
It's time to get our eyes off of ourselves and on to others! It's time to bless others and share the love of Jesus with the lost and hurting!

There is a man at our local donation center that really looks like he is hurting and lost. The Lord has prompted me to minister to him by putting together some sort of basket full of Christmas treats and the gospel! My dad is going to give it to him on his way to work, so that way I stay anonymous to this man. (Remember girls, safety first!)

How is the Lord speaking to you today? Girls, don't ignore Him! Hope you all are doing really well!

Rejoicing in Him,
