The Sixth Test for Decision Making

Good Morning everyone! ( Yikes, I'm just a little bit early!)

OK, have you been evaluating some of your decisions, filtering them through these tests?
Great! Now you are ready for the next test. This test is the Serenity Test.

Have I prayed and received peace about this decision?

"Do not become anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

There have been some points of decision in our lives where our parents have had no peace about going forward. They couldn't even explain logically why they had no peace about it. We just understood this to be the Lord's leading. It is amazing how later we could see the Lord's clear hand of direction. He does give us an inner peace when we follow His ways. This doesn't mean the way is easy but He does give us the great joy of His perfect peace.

Have a very blessed Lord's Day tomorrow and don't forget to do something special for your mother even if it isn't quite Mother's Day yet!

Oops, I meant to set this up to publish tomorrow morning. Well, since I don't know how to take it back, we'll just be ahead of schedule!

(If you still would like to save it for tomorrow, simply go to "edit posts", click on the desired one, and near the bottom of the page-probably in blue letters- it says "post options". Click that and set the date and time to your liking.)

Thanks, Keilah. I actually tried that but it didn't unpublish it. Should it have? Or am I just stuck?

Tara, Kelly, and Elizabeth -
What a wonderful post on decision making! We have a dear sweet 22 yr. old friend going through a very challenging time (engaged to a man and no one is pleased or supportive - long story). I believe this book may help her. Would you please let us know the name of it?
Thank you again for every post! We look forward to reading yours and Katrina's daily!
