Committing Our Ways to the Lord

Dear Daughters of Vision,

I want to share a verse that I hold very near and dear to my heart at this stage in my life. I am praying that it would encourage all of you tonight.
The verse is found in the Psalms, specifically the 37th chapter in verses 4 and 5.
It says...
"Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass."

Isn't that an amazing and powerful part of scripture?
Girls, are we fully delighting ourselves in the ever precious presence of the Lord?
Do we find our joy and fulfillment in spending time with Him and in the time that we seek His face during our quiet times and throughout the day as we walk with Him and seek to abide in Him?

All of our desires and dreams for our future will not be enjoyed until we find our true fulfillment and delight in our Lord Jesus Christ.
I want to encourage all of you precious young ladies to fully commit your way unto the Lord as I am learning to do. We are commanded in scripture to fully trust Him and rely on Him to fully direct our path every step of the way. He is faithful to bring His perfect will to pass if we will but put our trust in Him and keep from doubting in our hearts.

I would encourage all of you to go find a special place where you can be alone with the Lord and talk to Him as your precious Father. Be open with the Lord and share with Him the deepest desires of your heart. He will patiently listen to you, because He enjoys and DELIGHTS in every aspect of YOUR life. He is our loving, understanding and oh so caring Savior. Don't ever neglect to share your heart with Him.

I would encourage you however to be patient and wait and never stop waiting on the Lord.
We may tell the Lord our hearts desires, however it is all about the Lord's timing that we will truly be satisfied when we let Him bring our desires to pass.
James 1:3-8
"Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let Him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given Him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. "

Let us ask the Lord tonight for wisdom as we seek to apply these principles. Many blessings as we seek to trust the Lord for our futures,

Kelly Anne

Oh, Kelly!
This is so true.

Thank you so much for sharing this. This has been one of the major lessons our Lord has been teaching me lately.
Psalm 37 is one of my favorite passage in the entire Bible.

There are many things that we are waiting on as young women, so many things yet to be revealed. And Our Shepherd and Guardian knows them all! He is our Make and He holds our future in His hand. And He holds our hands through each step. Thank you for reminding me to simply trust and obey my Lord, pouring my heart out before Him and walking each day fully submitted and committed to Him.

"The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. The eyes of all wait upon Thee; and Thou givest them thier meat in due season. Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works. The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him: He also will hear their cry, and will save them. The Lord preserveth all them that love Him: but all the wicked will He destory. My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless His holy name for ever and ever."
Psalm 145: 14-21

This blog of you and your sisters has been a lovely new find for me! It has been a warm embrace from kindred spirits in the Lord. May He bless you all!

In Christ,
Alexandra from Indiana
