Uncle D

Houses in California are a little different than we are used to and
let's just say his house is a lot different!
We only took a few pictures so we'll show a few highlights.
We were blessed to have a very special time of fellowship. Tara and I both enjoyed singing with them and playing their beautiful piano.
I (Kelly) spotted the peacock standing on the shelf in the corner.
I can remember seeing him standing there when I was a little girl!
This bird has been standing in that corner for a long, long time! :)
These are the front doors from the inside.
Now coming from the other direction. Oh, and look who's there!
Would you believe this is a hot tub room?
I hope you can see this. These are swings, hanging from the trees. People apparently enjoy their time, sitting and visiting in these swings! I'm sure life without clouds of mosquitos must be wonderful. The Lord certainly allowed us many happy and memorable experiences, but the best part was returning home. Everyone at home was so happy about the rain and the cool front, but it felt really hot and muggy to us after the dry desert air.
Oh well, the worst heat of summer is over and winter is ahead.
But for now, let's just enjoy the autumn! :)
It is so interesting to travel and see how the Lord is working in different people's lives and in different parts of the country. When we go back to this area we see again how time moves on and we see the effects of decisions that people have made in their lives.
The Lord has shown us again that time does indeed move swiftly and every decision counts. Let's live a life well pleasing to the Lord.
"I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth." Psalm 57:9-ll

I'm afraid we had no time for the hot tub or walking on the beach. So close but yet so far.

What a beautiful house! It sounds like you girls had a great time. What a blessing that you could be of service to your grandmother and were able to visit good friends as well!
